do you always turn them off and never on again, or do you sometimes appreciate the sound. I am interested to hear what people think.

Hehe if I'm at work I turn the sound off :D If I'm at home I turn it on. I think the sound is good, except when you are playing a game where your hand covers the little speakers, and the sound fades in and out. Then I just turn it off.
