How do you update iPhone games through iTunes?

I tried to update a game on my iphone through the update section of the app store. I got a message that said the update must be done through wifi or iTunes. I logged into my iTunes account, but was clueless on where to go. What am I supposed to do?

When you update your apps on your iphone through the app store, you will need a wifi connection to do so. Otherwise, just plug your iphone through your pc and open itunes and sync your iphone. Itunes will automatically update your apps for you.



If you have a wifi connectivity around you. Just connect to it then update your apps from app store on your iphone.



If you do not know how exactly to connect to a wifi go to



Settings - Wifi - it will show you a list of wifi network around you. lock means you need to provide a password -- no lock means you can connect without password.

The above answer is incorrect. You do NOT need a wi-fi connection to update UNLESS the game or update is OVER 10MB in size.



On the iPhone itself: Click the APP STORE icon. If updates are available the "Updates" button will have a red number over it showing how many updates. Click updates. You can update them all using the 'update all' button at the top right, or one at a time by choosing each one, then update.



IN iTUNES (as asked): Open iTunes. Connect your iPhone. Click on Applications in the left pane. Click 'CHECK FOR UPDATES' in the LOWER RIGHT of the iTunes application. Click the update button or you can update them one at a time if you like.
